The National Consortium for Physical Education for Individuals with Disabilities (NCPEID) is a national organization that plays a pivotal role in influencing the direction and development of the adapted physical education/activity field. Its mission is to promote, stimulate, and encourage legislative mandates, professional preparation, advocacy, and research in physical activity, physical education and recreation for individuals with disabilities. Go Baby Go is a national, community-based research, design and outreach program that provides modified ride-on cars to children birth to age 3 who experience limited mobility. They also can provide workshops or instruction on how to modify other pieces of technology or toys to allow students with a range of abilities access to physical education classes.
